Do I need an LLC to sell on Amazon?
No. Amazon accepts individual sellers. Many sellers form an LLC anyway, because product liability is a real risk when you're the seller of record.
If you're selling your own brand
Amazon Brand Registry asks for a trademark that's registered or pending with the USPTO. An LLC doesn't get you in. Filing a trademark does.
What Amazon will ask for
Your business and tax details when you register. If you use an LLC, set it up first so you aren't changing the account later.
Questions
Do I need a trademark to sell on Amazon?
Not to sell. You need one for Brand Registry, which is what most private label sellers want.
