Reply to an office action
We draft the reply to the examiner's letter. You review it and sign. Included if we filed your trademark.
When it's due
Due 3 months from the date the office action was issued.
What it is
An office action is a letter from the examining attorney listing what has to change before your mark can be approved. Most are routine: clearer wording for your goods, a disclaimer of a descriptive word, or a better specimen.
If the examiner refuses the mark because it's too close to someone else's registration (Section 2(d)), the reply is an argument, not a form fix. We still draft it, and we'll say plainly if your odds are low enough that an attorney is worth it.
