Cancel before we file and we refund everything. If the state rejects your filing and we can't fix it, we refund our package fee. State fees already paid to the state can't be refunded by us.

## Case by case

- You cancel before we file Full refund of everything you paid, including state fees we haven't paid to the state yet.
- Your name is taken and there's no usable backup We ask you for a new name before filing. If you'd rather not continue, full refund.
- The state rejects your filing and we can't fix it Refund of our package fee and add-ons. State fees already paid to the state aren't refundable by us; if the state returns any, we pass them on.
- We made a mistake that the state rejects We fix and refile at no cost to you, including any new state fee. If it can't be fixed, refund of our fees.
- An add-on we haven't delivered yet Cancel it any time before we deliver it for a refund of that add-on.
- An add-on billed by the month or year Cancel any time. We stop future charges and the service runs to the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund a period that has started, unless we failed to provide the service.
- Your company has been formed Our fees for formation aren't refundable once the state approves the filing.
- The state is slower than its estimate No refund. Processing times, including expedited processing, are set by the state.
- You were charged twice or charged the wrong amount We refund the extra right away.

## Our fees and state fees

Your order shows our fees and state fees as separate lines. We pay state fees to the state for you, at cost. Once paid, they belong to the state, so we can only refund them if the state returns them to us.

## How to ask for a refund

- Email [support@joinopenfile.com](mailto:support@joinopenfile.com) from the address on your order, with your order number.
- We reply within 2 business days and issue approved refunds within 5 business days.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
- Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually fix it faster.
