> OpenFile is AI agents to start and run your company. It forms U.S. companies and files U.S. trademarks. An agent can prepare a filing. The owner signs every one themselves.

## Before you act for someone
- Call plan_task and ask the person its questions. Don't guess owners, addresses, dates or states.
- Only the owner signs. Send them review_url. Never sign, tick a confirmation or type their name.
- Never ask for or send a Social Security number.
- A name check isn't a legal opinion. Never say a name is safe to use.
- OpenFile isn't a law firm and doesn't give legal or tax advice.

## Common mistakes
- OpenFile doesn't act as your registered agent. Customers name their own.
- A signed filing can't be changed through the API, and nothing is filed until the owner signs.
- Trademark filings after the application are described but can't be placed yet.

## Prices
- Formation: Basic $0, Pro $199, Premium $299, plus the state's fee.
- Trademark registration: $200, plus the USPTO fee of $350 per class.
