# OpenFile with Zapier

Connect Zapier to the OpenFile [REST API](https://joinopenfile.com/docs/api.md) and it can check names, price filings and prepare them. It needs no key or account.

## Connect

Use **Webhooks by Zapier** with a POST to the [REST API](https://joinopenfile.com/docs/api.md). For example, to save a formation draft, post JSON to:

https://api.joinopenfile.com/v1/formations
```

The response has `review_url`. Send that to the owner in your next step.

## Try it

Your agent can then handle requests like:

- "Form a Wyoming LLC for my candle business."
- "Is QUILLBROOK likely to be refused as a trademark for candles?"
- "What would it cost to file a trademark in two classes?"
- "Where is my order?"

Have your agent call `plan_task` first, so it asks the person what it needs instead of guessing.

## What you still do yourself

Your agent prepares the draft and sends the owner a link. They open it, check every answer and sign. An agent can't sign for them, and it never handles a Social Security number. [Why the owner signs](https://joinopenfile.com/docs/mcp.md#how-an-agent-files).

## Check it worked

List the tools it loaded. You should see `plan_task`, `create_formation` and `search_docs`.
