# OpenFile with Lovable

Connect Lovable to the OpenFile [MCP server](https://joinopenfile.com/docs/mcp.md) and it can check names, price filings and prepare them. It needs no key or account.

## Connect

Open **Connectors**, press **Add custom**, then **MCP server**, and fill it in:

- **Server name**: OpenFile
- **Connection**: Direct connection
- **Server URL**: `https://mcp.joinopenfile.com`
- **Authentication**: No authentication

Then press **Add server**.

## Try it

Ask Lovable something like:

- "Form a Wyoming LLC for my candle business."
- "Is QUILLBROOK likely to be refused as a trademark for candles?"
- "What would it cost to file a trademark in two classes?"
- "Where is my order?"

Lovable calls `plan_task` first, so it asks the person what it needs instead of guessing.

## What you still do yourself

Lovable prepares the draft and sends the owner a link. They open it, check every answer and sign. An agent can't sign for them, and it never handles a Social Security number. [Why the owner signs](https://joinopenfile.com/docs/mcp.md#how-an-agent-files).

## Check it worked

Ask Lovable to list its OpenFile tools. You should see `plan_task`, `create_formation` and `search_docs`.
